Autorka zdjęć zabierze nas w podróż do Katalonii, jednym z 17 autonomicznych regionów Królestwa Hiszpanii, zajmującym obszar ok.32000 km2, liczącym prawie 8 mln mieszkańców(co stanowi prawie 16% ludności całego kraju). Jest to wspólnota o ponad tysiącletniej historii pełnej niuansów i dramatycznych decyzji, z nadzieją patrzącą w przyszłość. Znajdziemy tu wiele miejsc wpisanych na światową listę UNESCO i listę niematerialnego dziedzictwa ludzkości. Doświadczymy różnorodności krajobrazowych, wyrazistych smaków i pięknych dźwięków sardany, będącej symbolem solidarności Katalończyków oraz poznamy tradycyjne zwyczaje i święta.

Katalończycy mają swój język i kulturę, którą pieczołowicie kultywują. Flagi narodowe powiewają w wielu oknach przez cały rok. Od 1993 roku Katalończycy szczycą się własnym hymnem, a 11 września obchodzą święto narodowe Katalonii – La Diada.

The exhibit will take you on a journey through Catalonia, one of the 17 autonomous communities in Spain. With and area of about 32,000 sq. km, Catalonia is home to almost 8 million people, which accounts for nearly 16% of the whole population of Spain. This is a community with a history going back over a thousand years, a history full of nuances and dramatic decisions, but Catalans are still looking forward to the future. Catalonia is full of sites inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List and the List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The pictures will let you experience a variety of landscapes, distinctive tastes and enchanting movements of the sardana dance, a symbol of Catalan unity. You will also discover a wealth of traditional customs and holidays.

Catalans have their own language and culture, in which they take a lot of pride. Often, you will see national flags on houses for the whole year. Since 1993 Catalans have had their own anthem, and each year, on September, 11th, they celebrate La Diada, the National Day of Catalonia.
